Roberto
Musci was born in Milan ( Italy ) and studied sax and guitar. From
1974 to 1985 he traveled around the world for studying African , Indian
and Near & Far East music and for recording music " on field
" and for collecting musical instruments. He recorded LP's and
CDs for different European labels ( Raw Materials , Recommended records
, Victò , Lowlands , Island ). He composed and played music
for videos ,commercial spots , dance , live soundtracks for silent
movie , poems and theater . He broadcast ethnic music from radio stations
(Rai , Radio Popolare) . He played in studio and in live concert with
many Italian and European musicians as: Giovanni Venosta , Claudio
Gabbiani , Walter Prati , Giorgio Magnanensi , Massimo Mariani , Moni
Ovadia , Chris Cutler , Jon Rose , David Moss , Steve Piccolo , Elliott
Sharp and Keith Tippett .
