" This project was six years in the making. It was originally planned for our 21st anniversary (that's a coming of age number here in the UK) but the pieces and their authors had to take the time they needed and meanwhile the number of invitees relentlessly expanded. The planned CD is now a double, and I'm happy about that.(Also in a 6-cds set whith original albums) . While I expected the inventiveness and the consequentiality (I knew who I was asking), the sheer range of approaches has been a constant pleasure as the pieces slowly trickled in, especially knowing the constraints determined by the material available to work with."
