Astolfo on the moon

"Astolfo on the moon" it is a project about Sicilian marionettes (pupi) show modified with live computer graphics with live camcoders interaction , sensors and live music .

Wayang Kulit

 

 

During a trip to Indonesia I saw a show of Wayang Kulit or theater of the shades, where figures of skin were moved behind to a cotton screen projecting their shades thanks to the aid of lamps to oil. The puppet master is called dalang and the action is accompanied by an orchestra of gamelan.

This show inspired me for "Astolfo on the moon".
